How to Track Recurring Payments and Review Subscriptions
To track recurring payments, review your card or bank statements, list the charges you recognize, and record their amounts and billing dates. Yomio can store recurring payment entries that you add, but it does not automatically find every subscription from bank transactions or receipt scans.
Find the charges you are paying
Review recent statements and receipts from every card or account you use for recurring bills. Include app-store purchases, annual renewals, memberships, utilities, software, and services billed through another provider. For each charge, note:
- Provider and service
- Amount and currency
- Billing frequency and next expected date
- Which account or card is charged
- Who uses the service and whether it is still needed
Check the service’s own billing page if a statement description is unclear. Do not assume that a charge has stopped until the provider confirms cancellation or the next statement shows it is no longer billed.
Make a decision one charge at a time
For each item, choose whether to keep it, change the plan, pause it, or cancel it. Check cancellation terms, renewal dates, and any effect on saved data or bundled services before you act. A review can identify options to change, but it does not guarantee a specific amount of savings.

Record future payments
Yomio lets you create recurring payment entries so expected expenses can be reviewed with your other records. Add each entry yourself and check its schedule and amount against the provider’s current billing terms. These records are planning aids; they do not cancel a subscription or verify that a provider has charged the expected amount.
A recurring entry is most useful when you keep it current. Update the amount after a price change, mark a canceled service appropriately, and review annual charges before they renew.
Insight
Multiply a recurring monthly charge by 12 to estimate its yearly cost. For quarterly, annual, or irregular billing, use the provider’s actual schedule and amount rather than assuming every payment is monthly.
Tip
Some providers offer a pause option, while others only let you change or cancel a plan. Check the provider’s current terms, renewal date, and effect on saved data before making a change.
Information
There is no single subscription-spending percentage that fits every household. Review each service against its current cost, your use, and the alternatives available to you.
Keep recurring expenses visible
Record expected payments and review their dates and amounts alongside your other expense records.
